August Beauty Haul

I think it is inescapable for me to make a few beauty purchases when walking through Duty Free. I mean, you are being swarmed with a dozen high-end, crystal clear counters with shelves stocked high of wonders. I also think it is fair to say that I did spend quite a few pennies, but the majority was left over euros from previous holidays. (which obviously makes all of these splurges ok!!)

As always, I ran straight over to the MAC counter and grabbed a Velvet Teddy lipstick. Soooo many bloggers and youtubers have raved about this, I suppose I am a tad late on this bandwagon, however all that matters is I have it now and gosh what a GORGEOUS shade it is! Next from MAC, I was eager to buy a pinky toned eyeshadow, considering I previously chose to splurge on the more browny toned Naked 2 palette (over the more pinky Naked 3). I ended up picking the shade Star Violet, which is a pinky-brown plum, in certain lights a tad coppery. Expect this to be incorporated into  a couple of makeup looks, as it can be easily worn all over the lid or gently worked into the crease. Another lipstick which I decided to splurge on was one in the shade Capricious, a slighltly darker red, yet nothing too prominent as I tend to stick to the more subtle shades. Finally from MAC, I decided to try out this quad eye shadow palette, it's from the Mineralize line in the shade Golden Hours.

Coming home from  my holiday, I was extremely surprised (the omg this is amazing type of surprised) to find a Victoria's Secret at Malaga airport. I managed to persuade my mum to allow me to buy a couple of things from the 50% off stand, so I ended up getting the Forbidden fragrance mist and the Smooth Kiss lip butter. Both products smell amazing, but then the whole shop did, so I think a trip to the VS in London is needed.

Now onto the other random bits. I kindly received this Raspberry Lemonade Chapstick from my friend, who's just returned from America, and I suppose a girl can never have too many lip products! Next, I picked up another tub of the Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturizer, which is a little on the pricey side but is perfect for my skin. Last but by no means least, I was in need of a new dry shampoo, and instead of sticking to my trusty Batisse ones, I decided to try a Phil Smith one for a change.

As you can tell, August has been quite a pricey month, but then again I've had the whole month off school so it was the inevitable.

What have been your beauty buys of August?
