Plenish Clense Review
I have never been one for detoxing, I suppose it is quite a subjective matter. Although I do try to make weekly juices with my home juicer. So, when I found Plenish juices, I couldn't resist trying them after reading about all the healthy ingredients they contained, which I didn't own to juice myself.
Over on the Plenish website, there's a whole ton of info about which juice detox is right for you, and guidelines of what you do. I chose the following three juices, which are part of the level two detox.
Pine Apple 2 - Pineapple, Apple, Mint, Aloe Vera
This was the first juice I tried, and in fact it turned out to be my favourite. The name gives a very fruity and sweet impression, yet I was surprised when the small amount of mint overpowered this taste to leave a cool taste.
Mind Body Green - Cucumber, Pear, Romaine, Kale, Spinach, Parsley, Lemon
My immediate reaction was that this was disgusting, but after a few more sips I guess I somehow became immune to the taste. I found that this was very watery which probably helped to lower the strong taste but just beware of the after taste, you made need another drink at the ready.
Sweet Sexy Green- Pear, Cucumber, Romaine, Spinach, Kale, Basil, Brocoli
Unfortunately this juice was unlike the others, and I really didn't get along with it. I managed three sips before my stomach churned and I had to give up with this one.
Now, you're supposed to drink all six of these throughout one day, however, still being a teenager, my parents advised I started off lightly, substituting a juice a day instead of my average breakfast (of two unhealthy pan-au-chocolat). I think it is just important to remember that you are the one in control of how regularly and how much you determine to detox, and obviously you should be the one to make this decision.
Anyway, after six juice breakfasts (there were two of each flavour), I am happy to say that I did notice positive results. My sleeping pattern became a lot more stable- I was waking up at around 8 each morning (and this was in my holidays!). Also, my skin inhabited a brighter glow. Not all of these juices may taste heavenly, but it's worth holding your nose and gulping down the goodness when needs be.
Have any of you ever tried a juice cleanse? Succeeded?

I've been meaning to do a juice cleanse for ages but I'm kind of scared since I think I'd hate the veggie based juices too. But it seems like such a good restart for the body!

Sounds great. I have been meaning to do it for quite some time now. With summer coming up, I think it's time. -Rupsha | Blog-Lovesicklilac | Twitter-b_rupsha

Definitely a healthier replacement for the pan-au-chocolat ;) I'd love to try a juice cleanse.

haha that's what I thought too!!
DeleteThey all sound incredible, but my favorite would be Pine Apple 2. I bet the mint & pineapple give a great taste. Thank you for an honest review.

I've tried a detox before but not a juice one. After a week of struggling with the detox I then read that your body is always naturally detoxing itself anyway, so it's pretty pointless. Still, a good juice for breakfast like you've been doing can't be bad for you! xx

I'm definitely not one to cut out my food as I just don't think I could last so it's a great idea to substitute breakfast with a juice and eat healthy the rest of the day x

I've never tried a detox - I am a pretty scary person when I don't eat at regular intervals! But these do sound quite beneficial. I must start drinking more healthy juices, instead of just orange juice which is overloaded with sugars.

I feel you! Orange juice makes a regular appearance into my fridge too x
DeleteGreat recommendation, it's sounds like a better Idea to replace them for breakfast than all your meals. I've been a bit hesitant about trying juices but I may just give it a go now :)

DeleteI have never tried these products before! And it looks a little bit too much fot me to drink all 6 products in one day. Anyway, nice post and blog pictures, like them so much! :)

thank you, and that is what I thought too so I ended up drinking one a day instead! x
DeleteI don't think I could cope with substituting all of my meals with juices, I think your idea of replacing breakfast it a great alternative! I love the sound of Pine Apple 2!
