No7 Stay Perfect Foundation Review

When I say I haven't bought a new foundation in over three years, don't take me for a liar. When I first got into makeup, say I was 13 or something, I went out and purchased about six bottles of the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. I only ever worn it on special occasions, hence why I still have three and a half bottles left. So, when I was browsing in Boots last weekend, I finally decided to take that step forward of purchasing a new, preferably in date, foundation.

It just so happened that I purchased the No7 foundation thanks to a £3 off voucher Boots were handing out. I had only ever tried skincare from No7, so this new horizon intrigued me.

I opted for the second lightest shade: Cool Vanilla. Colour wise, this is the perfect match. I could even get away with not blending the foundation down my neck (however I am too careful to never not do this).

Anyway, in comparison with my only-ever-other-used-foundation, (the Rimmel Wake Me Up), I must say that I do much prefer this one. It could be down to a personal preference because the No7 foundation is very much matte, whereas the Rimmel one certainly doesn't hold back on making your face look ever so shiny *cough* dewy.

For a medium coverage foundation I was surprised with how light it feels on the skin. Now we all know those brands who try to sell a face product with the made up idea that you can't even feel it on your skin. Well, this you can feel on your skin, but it's the sort of product that you like to feel.

The only downfall to this foundation is the packaging. What a nightmare of a mess this pump causes me- so much that I am worried that half the bottle will not even make it onto my actual face.

Minus the poor packaging, I do really love the finish which this foundation gives. I purchased this for around the £15 mark, and, for what it's worth, I applaud No7 for this product.

The next foundation which I want to try is one from a high end brand. So, if you have any high end foundation recommendations, please let me know below in the comments.

  8. Hmmm... I might actually try this one! In terms of high end brands, I would really recommend Nars Sheer Glow or Giorgio Armani Luminous silk foundation. Also a little tip: try and get samples from counters for all of these to make sure that you like them first :)

  9. This sounds good but I hate a bad pump of packaging when it comes to a foundation! High end foundation wise it's got to be Estée Lauder Double Wear Light. Such a great foundation! X
