And That's a Wrap | Farewell 2014

Happy New Year's Eve! With only one day left of 2014, I decided to take the plunge and share with you my life this year in pictures (and captions!) Anyway, this is the first 'lifestyle' post I've attempted and I apologize in advance about some of the quality of the photos- they weren't intended for a blog post!!

I started off this year travelling to London, to meet one of my favourite bands, Union J. We queued for hours on a cold, February morning, but eventually we got inside and this was my second time meeting the boys!

Shortly after, Spring had come around which meant I was off to Spain! I visited my Grandma who lives just outside Alicante, and my family enjoyed a relaxing week away, soaking up some early rays.

Once I'd returned from Spain, a One Direction concert was awaiting me. I was lucky enough to attend their Where We Are tour at Wembley Stadium.

Before I knew it, school was out and I was jetted off to the South of France. My auntie and uncle live just outside Nice, so we enjoyed another three adventurous weeks away. This included splashing about at a waterpark, sunbathing on Cannes beach and visiting a variety of small, quaint towns.

Edging towards the end of the summer holidays, I took a trip to London where my family and I enjoyed watching Wicked the musical.

Suddenly the nights were getting darker; autumn was approaching. Early October was my birthday, where I was lucky enough to go and see The Vamps live in Brighton! Other acts included Nina Nesbitt, Luke Friend and I also met Ebony Day.

On the verge of the winter months, I had a couple of trips out with friends. For example one evening I went to Portsmouth and another day I visited the Warner Brothers Studios and participated in a Harry Potter tour.

Whist all of that was happening, I have spent the whole year weekly blogging for you guys. I hope you've had a great 2014, and you find this overview of mine some-what interesting!

Anyway, I wish you all a happy new year and I hope you've all had a great 2014 too!

Party Nails | Christmas Edition

Tomorrow? Christmas is tomorrow!! As a little something for you on Christmas Eve, I thought I'd show you a quick and easy idea for how you could have your nails for this festive season. I have already decided that I am going to wear my nails like this for Christmas, and this simple yet pretty nail idea will look great for parties and going out too.

First of all I applied a thin layer of my base coat by Barry M. This strengthens my nails and ensures that my polish lasts for a very long time without chipping.

Next I got the shade 'Bete Noir' by Estee Lauder and put two generous coatings on all of my nails. Make sure you leave around five minutes in between applying each coat to allow the polish to dry properly, as this will avoid smudging.

Finally, I took a glittery nail polish by No7 and went over the purple polish. The lighter blue tones in the glitter contrast well with the deep purple nail base, which make my nails stand out and pop in the light.

Base Coat // Barry M
Purple Polish // Estee Lauder
Nail Effects Glitter // No7

I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and be sure to let me know if you re-create this look in the comments below!

Stocking Suggestions | Christmas 2014

1. Although they are not specifically festive, these Molten Brown mini's always go down a treat. I have just selected a few of my favourites, however there's such a wide range to choose from.

2.Without a doubt, a girls Christmas could not be the same without Soap and Glory. This year, Sugar Crush body wash, Glow Lotion and Hand Food are the hottest on the market.

3. Can't decide between matte or sparkly nails this Christmas? Nails Inc will always be one of my favourites, and thousands of others think the same. Any girl would be attracted to these polishes, for starters the packaging is extremely impressive alone!

4. Oh Yankee Candles. The perfect size, price and well everyone simply loves them! With a large amount of scents, you can definitely find one which you will love.

5. Christmas without chocolate could never exist for me! Personally, I find Lindt chocolate bears both exceptionally tasty and the perfect size for a stocking filler, but honestly any chocolate will do.

Watch Out For Christmas!

As you can probably tell from the pictures, I have finally managed to put up my Christmas tree and decorations! I'm still a little uncertain how well this outfit matches my festive background, however I recently purchased a wintry top and received my gorgeous watch from Fjord Timepieces, so I thought I'd put together a little something! :)

The Christmas Tag | Collab With Millie

Photo from Pinterest (edited)

December! This can only mean one thing: Christmas! It's no secret that I, alongside pretty much everyone else I know, literally love Christmas so much. From the massive amounts of food and chocolate, to cosy days spent in my bed, this holiday is no doubt one of my favourites. Anyway, seeing as numerous doors of my advent calender have been ripped open, the countdown to Christmas has begun, and what's not a better time to get a little bit festive and write my Christmas tag...

Also, before I begin, thank you to the lovely Millie for collabing with me on this tag! Make sure you go and check out her gorgeous blog and Instagram too.

What's your favourite Christmas movie/s?
Without a doubt, Home Alone is my ultimate favourite movie at Christmas, especially the first one! I find these movies so light-hearted and funny, a film which all the family can sit down and enjoy. Another favourite of mine is Elf, again it is family friendly and definitely a film which I could re watch over and over again without not loving it.

Do you open presents on Christmas morning or Christmas evening?
Normally, I open any of my stocking presents first thing in the morning, followed by my 'under the tree' presents a little later in the morning/early afternoon. If I had the choice, I would open them all at once, but I guess it's kind of better having something to look forward to throughout the day!

Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
I don't have a specific memory, however for the majority of my life, Christmas has been spent with my family which I love!

What's your favourite festive food?
A full roast dinner is a must for me and my family every year, not forgetting the mini sausages wrapped in bacon! Aside from lunch, I have always loved my family's breakfast gammon with freshly baked bread and butter.

What's been your favourite Christmas gift?
One of my favourite presents is my Dell laptop, which I am currently sitting writing this blog post on! On a different note, I also love my mauve sofa bed which I got given around five years ago- perfect for when my friends come to sleep!

What's your favourite Christmas scent?
Cinnamon. I love cinnamon. From candles to hot chocolate, from lattes to well, absolutely anything to be honest, cinnamon is literally the perfect scent to link me with Christmas!

Do you have a Christmas Eve tradition?
Most Christmas Eve's I just tend to spend my evenings curled up in bed, with a hot chocolate, watching Christmas movies. I also have a tradition of not being able to get much sleep on Christmas Eve- if that counts?!

What tops your tree?
Most probably a star, however we do have a cute angel which sometimes makes the top.

As a child, what was the one (crazy, extravagant) gift you wanted but never got?
I've never really wanted anything that crazy, however I did always want to be the actresses in the children's TV shows I used to watch- like Zoey 101 and H2O!

What do you think is the best part of Christmas?
Without a doubt, family-time is what Christmas is all about. Obviously, I do enjoy the presents and copious amounts of food too, but I love how everyone is in a magical mood and enjoying themselves.

I don't know about you, but after re-reading that all through I feel extremely prepared for Christmas! Quickly, I also think that the build up to Christmas is also a very exciting time, and that's all down to the advent calenders, decorations and of course Vlogmas! Seeing as this is a tag, I nominate all of you reading this to attempt to write this post, if you do let me know in the comments and I'll go and check it out.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!

On The Wall Fashion #1

I have been loving so many different outfits recently, I've decided to start writing a series of 'On the Wall Fashion' posts. Now, I don't know how long these will last (as I'll most probably run out of clothes to blog about) however I thought the idea was interesting and different!

This week, the outfit I have been loving is quite a simple yet bold piece when it all comes together. With my birthday money, I was lucky enough to purchase some Topshop jeans, these are the Joni ones in black. I've been after a pair of black jeans for absolutely ages now, so I gave in and spent all my money on them- but it was completely worth it!
I have paired these jeans with a knitted, cream top which is from Newlook. This is perfect for Autumn, considering it is cropped so you can wear it with high-wasted jeans yet it has long sleeves to keep you warm in the colder months. Also, long sleeved crop tops appear to be very in right now!
On my feet, I have just thrown on my favourite pair of black vans, alongside some floral, frilly socks, also from Newlook. I can't get over how gorgeous frilly socks and canvas shoes look right now, I literally wear them everywhere!
To complete this outfit, I have added an azure necklace which is surprisingly from Primark. To match this, I am wearing a lighter blue owl ring which I got in Spain. Finally, on my nails is 'Purple Reigns' by Nails Inc.
